Bent Beanie Day
Story
My team and I have decided to make a difference and fundraise for Beanie for Brain Cancer to raise much needed funds for an amazing cause that's close to my heart.
Last year we lost my 3 year old great nephew Harlyn to brain cancer.
Our Harzy was the most adorable, kind, gentle and caring little boy. He had the best life with the most loving parents and family a child could ask for. He was happy and healthy, until he was taken to Gold Coast Hospital with a belly ache on Sunday 23rd April. The next day he was rushed to Queensland Childrens Hospital for emergency brain surgery. Sadly he grew his Angel wings on 27th April 2023. He was just 3 years old. We miss him terribly and we know that his kind nature would not want to see anyone else suffer. We hope that by contributing to this charity, research will eventually reduce the loss of life and help others to survive brain cancer.

The Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) is a charity formed in Newcastle by Mark and Kirralee Hughes following Mark’s diagnosis with Brain Cancer in 2013. The Mark Hughes Foundation’s mission is to raise much needed funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families.
